July Slow Supper

Somehow, with not much planning, SFMV members seem to choose diverse, delicious dishes for our potlucks. Our July Slow Supper was no exception: We enjoyed a range of wonderful salads, fabulous bread and Flying Rhino coffee, plus interesting conversation in a unique setting: the PetMassage Institute, owned and operated by SFMV members Jonathon and Anastasia Rudinger.

If you were there, please send your recipe (sfmv@ameritech.net) or post it on our Facebook page. If you missed it, please try out some of these salad ideas at home. Either way, mark your calendar now for September 25th. Along with SF chapters across the country, we'll be organizing a volunteer work day, followed by a harvest celebration.

For more pictures of our July pot luck, plus some menu ideas, look us up on Facebook.

That George Foreman countertop grill is ideal for low fat cooking, cleanup is another story. Even though countertop grills may be labeled as ‘non-stick’, burnt on grease and bits of food still stick and create a hard-to-clean mess. And while you are looking for the right lid, the pot on the stove boils over and creates another kitchen mess. Solve these problems with these easy kitchen tips.
